Elder Statesman, Philanthropist and Legal luminary, Femi Okunu, SAN, CON, LL.D will commission the newly completed Fourth Floor of the Faculty of Law on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.

The project adds another floor to the hitherto three-storey Faculty of Law building and increases the infrastructural capacity of the faculty in no small measure. A 180-seater capacity Moot Court, two 70-seater capacity seminar rooms, a Judge’s Chamber, a Lawyers’ Changing Room, an administrative office, one boardroom and eight professorial offices with conveniences are some of the facilities that the new floor provides.

The new floor to be commissioned is a testament to the efficacy of the P3P Pick a Project, a Programme , a Person Strategy of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, FAS, who has remained undaunted in his mission to creatively meet the infrastructural needs of the university. It also confirms the enormous rewards that proceed from the diligent investment that the Professor Ogundipe administration continues to make in Town&Gown and Alumni relations.

Alhaji Okunu, upon being approached by the Vice-Chancellor for support, pledged a N100,000 ( One hundred million naira) donation to the project, entirely built and due to be delivered by him to the Faculty of Law, University of Lagos, tomorrow. The project commenced in 2019 and was completed in August 2020.

This donation gives a fillip to the infrastructural development drive of the Professor Ogundipe administration and serves as a pointer to other well-meaning alumni of the University to lend a hand to making the UNILAG brand a globally competitive one.
