As part of ongoing efforts to maintain a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing campus environment, the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Beautification Committee will commence a monthly campus-wide dejunking exercise.
The exercise will involve the removal of abandoned and unwanted items, including tyres, disused building materials, dead trees and plants, furniture, equipment, and other materials that detract from the campus environment.
Please note that materials designated for approved construction or maintenance works will not be removed, provided they are properly identified, secured, and cordoned off.
The Committee therefore appeals to all Faculties, Departments, Institutes, Centres, Units, and members of the University community to support this initiative by ensuring that their surroundings are kept free of abandoned items and other environmental nuisances.
All members of the University community are kindly urged to cooperate fully with the Committee throughout the exercise, which aims to sustain a cleaner, safer, and more attractive campus.
