The Vice Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe, on Monday, 30th November 2020, received the Council Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeiku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Builder Olusesan Mayokun Daini and his entourage in his office.

During the meeting, the Chairman remarked that his visit was in furtherance to the agreement between his local council and the University earlier in the year which is to work together on human capital development while he acknowledged it is in fulfillment of the principles of ‘The Town and the Gown’.  

Builder Daini who is an alumnus of the University commended the VC and his team for consciously keeping in touch with the institution’s alumni who are now in position of authority and ensuring that they are working in line with the academic and moral education that were imparted in them. He pledged that as a proud Alumnus, he will support the University in any area of concern when called upon.

He also used the occasion of his visit to congratulate the Vice Chancellor on his reinstatement at the helms.

In his response, the Vice Chancellor thanked the Chairman and re-echoed his thought on providing training to staff and youths within Igbogbo community. He reassured that the University Entrepreneurship Training is well endowed with the manpower and resources to conduct intensive trainings that will improve human development of the good people of Igbogbo and hope for better evolution of the Council under his watch.
