On Friday, November 20, the 1977/79 Set of the Old Grammarian Society (OGS) paid a congratulatory visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, FAS.
Led by their president, Mr. Olu Vincent, executive members of the society expressed delight at his successful reinstatement to office after his ordeal in the past months, which had threatened to cut short his tenure of office.
The Principal of CMS Grammar School, Rev Sunday Sofekun, gave gratitude to God for the victory and thanked Professor Ogundipe for continuing in the tradition of Grammarians who live above board and demonstrate probity in their stations of assignment.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ogundipe, FAS, showed appreciation for the kind gesture and promised to keep doing his best to make the University of Lagos the nation’s pride.
Mr Olu Vincent read and presented the OGS Letter of Congratulations to the Vice-Chancellor and the meeting rounded off with a recitation of the Grammarians anthem.

The old Grammarians Society (OGS) is the alumni association of the first secondary school in Nigeria, CMS Grammar School, Lagos, which was founded on June 6, 1859.
