The Institute of African and Diaspora Studies (IADS), University of Lagos is calling for nominations for the best Ph.D. in any aspect of African and/or Diaspora Studies.
The Award, which is worth $1,000.00, is endowed by Professor Rahamon A. Bello, the 11th Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos.
Requirements:
To qualify for nomination, nominees must have defended their Doctoral Theses in the last two(2) years in any recognized university in Africa on issues addressing Africa and/or African diaspora. Applicants must be engaged in research in an academic institution in Africa.
Method of Application:
- Electronic (pdf) copy of thesis
- Evidence of Ph.D. award
- Curriculum Vitae and
- A write-up of 500 words maximum on why the thesis deserves the award.
The above should be sent to: iads@unilag.edu.ng on or before Friday, October 30, 2020.
A successful awardee would be announced on Monday, November 30, 2020.
