The Mbanefo Family of Onitsha has announced the funeral arrangements for former Pro-Chancellor of our University and distinguished statesman, Chief Arthur C.I. Mbanefo, Odu-Osodi III of Onitsha.
The funeral ceremonies are scheduled to hold at the Mbanefo Family Compound, No. 2, Mbanefo Odu Street, Odoje, Onitsha Inland Town, Anambra State, as detailed below:
- Friday, March 20, 2026: Traditional wake-keeping begins at 9:00 p.m., in line with Onitsha customs and tradition.
- Saturday, March 21, 2026: Viewing of the deceased commences at 8:00 a.m.
Until his death, Chief Arthur C.I. Mbanefo was renowned for his integrity, exemplary leadership, and dedicated service to his community and the nation. His life of honour and commitment remains a source of inspiration to all.
