Happy International Day of Biological Diversity!

Every year, the United Nations celebrates the International Day of Biological Diversity as a way of increasing understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues, some of which include: Climate Change, Deforestation, Pollution, over-exploitation of nature via overhunting, overfishing, overharvesting etc. These issues can be curbed in our little way. We can plant more trees, use more energy-saving bulbs, reduce carbon emission, put proper waste disposal systems in place, etc.

Today, as the world marks this Day with the theme, “Our Solutions are in Nature”, it is necessary for us to embrace the vast solutions nature affords that are left majorly untapped. It is important that we  work together to build a life in harmony with nature.

Happy International Day of Biological Diversity!
