The Adetokunbo Babatunde Sofoluwe Centre for Information Technology and Systems (ABS-CITS), University of Lagos (UNILAG) has hosted a one-day training session on the Premier ERP Platform for Students’ Academic Profile for all Heads of Departments (Academic) at the University.
Held on Thursday, November 27, 2025, the training was moderated by the Director of ABS-CITS, Professor Mohammed Amuda, and facilitated virtually by Mr. Jide Familoni of Today’s Solution, the platform providers. The session provided an opportunity for the Heads of Departments to interact, up-close and personal, with the digital platform for optimal management of academic affairs in their respective departments.

In his brief remarks prior to the commencement of the hands-on training session, Professor Amuda described Premier ERP platform as “an omnibus information resource management system for the University”. He explained that the platform serves as a Student Information System which tracks and records students’ academic trajectory and payment history; and a Virtual Clearing House for the HoD.
According to him, Premier ERP platform is a one-stop digital location which gives the HoD a bird’s eye view of all academic matters, to be able to make informed and timely decisions for the good of all stakeholders, especially students and lecturers.
“This training will restore full virtual control to the HoD. It will give you the knowledge and the tool to take full control of all the results coming out of your departments as Chief Examination Officers”.

Professor Amuda emphasised the importance of strict control of access credentials like Username and Password, so as not to compromise the platform.
While facilitating the practical session, Mr. Jide Familoni of Today’s Solution demonstrated the use and functionality of each feature on Premier ERP platform.
At the highly interactive and lively forum, the HoDs raised questions on various challenges and got clarifications from Professor Amuda and Mr. Familoni. They left the training better equipped for the efficient administration of academic affairs in their respective departments to the benefit of all parties.
