Final year student of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Adeleke Adekunle, has won the 2020 edition of Shalina Young Talents Award (SYTA) and hence adjudged Best Pharmacy Brain in Nigeria.
In what can be termed the biggest hunt for the best pharmacy brain in Nigeria, Adekele Adekunle defeated 700 other students from the University of Ibadan, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and University of Nigeria, Nsukka to win the coveted title.
Shalina Healthcare Nigeria Limited, in a bid to meet the growing need for improved infrastructure and practitioners in Nigeria, set up the Shalina Young Talents Award (SYTA) Initiative to groom, nurture and support young talents who would contribute to their quota to the pharmacy profession. The competition featured a series of quizzes, debates, case studies etcetera.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe, FAS, on behalf of the Senate, Management, members of staff and students of the University of Lagos congratulates the Adeleke Adekunle on this feat.
