The International Relations, Partnerships and Prospects (IRPP) Office, in line with its objective of providing international exposure for students of the University of Lagos, improve the internalization of the University, promote its visibility and relationships with international institutions etc., is announcing the International Student Week in Belgrade (ISWiB) holding from Monday, July 13 to Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Belgrade, the capital of Serbia.
ISWiB is a youth festival, which has been traditionally held every year since 2006 in the capital city of Serbia, Belgrade. The Festival is open for young people who are between 18 and 30 years of age from all over the world. The Festival is a part of SOrCE network and has been traditionally organized by the association World Youth Wave. This year’s edition will focus on self-growth and personal fulfilment under the name “Keep going, keep growing.”
Interested individuals should be students or recently graduated. They are to fill out the following google forms → https://forms.gle/qTaUwz2Ju4c6uFaB7,after which they will have a Skype interview. The age range of 18 to 30 years old is mandatory.
The application process will last until Saturday, February 29, 2020, midnight 23:59 PM CET (Central European Time), which is the same as the West Africa Time (WAT) used in Nigeria. Skype interviews will be held during February and March 2020.
Fee & Expenses: The participant fee is 150€ for foreign students and 20€ for domestic students. The fee for foreign students includes accommodation, food (5 meals per day), all workshop expenses, residential fee, a certificate, and a T-shirt. Students currently studying in Serbia can be accommodated in the student dormitory as well if they want to, but they will also have to pay the full price of 150€.
Travel, visa, and personal expenses must be covered by participants themselves. World Youth Wave and ISWiB Team will not provide any travel reimbursement or financial support.
Selected participants will have to pay in advance a small amount of participation fee, to ensure themselves a place at workshops. In case there are still some places left for more participants at workshops, there will be late application period at the end of May, but only for those participants who do not need a visa to enter Serbia.
