On Thursday, January 9, 2020, Nine 2019/2020 U.S. Fulbright Scholars paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe, FAS at his office.
The Fulbright Scholars were in the University of Lagos for an afternoon service outing during which they interacted with staff and students of the University. the aim of this visit to the University was to encourage sustainable volunteer service between Fulbright Scholars and local universities, promote collaboration, capacity building, highlight the importance of giving back to the community as well as further the mission of the Fulbright programme of increasing mutual cultural understanding to mention a few.
The Fulbright Scholars led by Mr. Clemson Ayegbusi of the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria include: Dr. Omotayo Banjo of the University of Cincinnati; Prof. Mejai Avoseh of the University of South Dakota; Gabrielle Lewis of James Madison University; Breanne Lott of the University of Arizona; Prof. Edith Onyeozili of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University; Dr. Chinyere Ukabiala of Grinnell College, Iowa, and Dr. Aaron Michael Carter-Enyi of Morehouse College, Atlanta.
The Vice Chancellor, ably represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics and Research, Prof. Oluwole Familoni, welcomed the Fulbright Scholars and wished them a pleasurable outing.
