The Grand Finale for the AFRETEC-UNILAG Innovation-in-Health Challenge 2025 will hold on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 10 am at the Old Great Hall, College of Medicine, University of Lagos, ldi-Araba Campus.
The innovation challenge was launched in March 2025 to encourage multidisciplinary student teams from Nigerian universities to develop innovative and scalable solutions to critical healthcare challenges facing Africa.
Fourteen (14) finalist teams from nine universities across Nigeria, selected after several months of mentorship and competitive selection rounds, will present their innovations before a panel of industry experts at the grand finale. The top three (3) teams will be awarded cash prizes totaling N 4.5 million.
AFRETEC-UNILAG Innovation-in-Health Challenge is funded by AFRETEC and coordinated by the Innovation and Technology Management Office (ITMO), UNILAG in collaboration with the College of Medicine, University of Lagos (CMUL).
