The University of Lagos African Cluster Centre (ACC) is a centre within the Institute of African and Diaspora Studies set up for the purpose of research. It is one of the four African Cluster Centres of the ‘Africa Multiple’ Centre of Excellence in African Studies of the University of Bayreuth, Germany.
The Centre hereby invites suitably qualified candidates for the following positions:
- Head of Information Technology
- Head of Administration
- Head of Finance
- Office Assistant
Head, Information Technology
Responsibilities: Successful candidate will be in charge of:
- Information, technology and social media needs of the Centre.
- Building and managing ACC web site
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirement: MSc. Information Technology/Computer Science
Candidate for this post should normally possess Masters in Information Technology/Computer Science.
Appointment will initially be for the period of 2 years.
Head of Administration
Responsibilities: Successful candidate will be in charge of administration, gender and diversity matters of the Centre.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirement: Candidate for this post should normally possess a good Masters degree in relevant fields. Some experience in project management will be required.
Appointment will initially be for the period of 2 years.
Head of Finance
Responsibilities: Successful candidate will be in charge of:
- Income and expenditure of the Centre
- Organising the accounting process
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirement: MSc. Accounting/Finance or any relevant fields
Candidate for this post should normally possess Masters in Accounting. Some experience in project accounting is desirable. Possession of professional accounting qualification is required.
Appointment will initially be for the period of 2 years.
Office Assistant
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirement: A candidate for this post should normally possess 5 credits including English and Mathematics at one sitting.
Appointment will initially be for the period of 2 years.
