ANUPA, UNILAG Holds AGM/Election, Dec. 12

The Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA), University of Lagos (UNILAG) Branch will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) and election into the following vacant positions on Thursday, December 12, 2024:

A. VACANT POSITIONS

1. Chairman
2. Vice Chairman
3. Secretary
4. Assistant  Secretary
5. Treasurer
6. Financial Secretary
7. Publicity Secretary
8. Training Officer/Welfare Officer
9. Legal Officer

B. CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY

1.  A candidate for any vacant office shall file a notice of his/her intention to contest for that office and send same to the Secretariat of the Electoral Committee.
2. Two (2) active financial members of the Association who shall not be less qualified to contest for the position being sought by the member shall endorse the notice of intention.
3. The notice of intention to contest shall be submitted to the Electoral Committee within the time prescribed.
4. No nomination shall be deemed valid unless a nomination form provided by the Electoral Committee has been duly completed by the candidate and signed by two (2) nominees who are financial members.
5. Candidates who have been financial members of the Association for at least three (3) years are eligible to contest.
6. Candidates for positions (1) and (2) above shall not be less than Principal Assistant Registrar/ Principal Assistant Secretary in addition to the requirement in (i) above.
7. Candidates for the position of Legal officer must have a minimum qualification of LL.B in addition to the requirement in (i) above.

Please note that:

• Only financial members of the Association shall be eligible to vote and be voted for.
• In addition, interested candidates are expected to submit their vision for the Association in relation to the position being vied for, in not more than 150 words.

ELECTION TIMETABLE
