UNILAG Don Awarded Women Advance: Research Security Fellowship

Professor Miriam N. lgwo-Ezikpe of the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Medicine, University of Lagos has been selected to participate as a Fellow in the Women Advance: Research Security Fellowship by the Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) Global.

This remote fellowship, comprising individuals from Argentina, South Africa and Nigeria, will promote the leadership of women in research security to bolster non-proliferation by enhancing selected fellows’ research security knowledge, skills, and professional networks, as well as establish or solidify the selected candidates as research security leaders.

The fellowship, which will pair fellows with experienced mentors, includes access to online training courses, discussion sessions with leading experts and counterparts and support for professional development opportunities.

The fellowship, spanning approximately five (5) months (July – November 2024), will commence in mid-September and end in November, 2024 for the active phase with a kick-off meeting in mid-August, 2024.

Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) Global is an independent non-profit organization founded in 1995 in response to the collapse of the Soviet Union and the threat of large-scale proliferation of weapons technology from the region.
