Dr. Abimbola Abolarinwa of the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Lagos (UNILAG) has been appointed as Senior Associate of the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy.
This appointment is for a period of six (6) years with effect from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2031.
During his associateship, Dr Abolarinwa would work in the mathematics section of the centre, focusing on differential geometry, global analysis of manifold and partial differential equations in close relation with renowned experts in the field.
Founded in 1964 by the late Nobel Laureate Abdus Salam, ICTP is a unique institution that explores fundamental scientific questions at the highest level, promotes active engagement with scientists in developing countries, and advances international cooperation through science.
