The N8 – ARUA Urbanization and Habitable Cities Seminar will hold on Thursday, December 7, 2023.
The virtual seminar which will hold from 12 noon to 2:00 pm (Nigerian time) will feature a keynote speech by the Director, ARUA Centre of Excellence in Urbanization and Habitable Cities, University of Lagos (UNILAG), Professor Timothy Nubi and discussions around salient and intractable problems associated with urbanization in cities in Africa and the United Kingdom.
The seminar aims to bring together researchers working across the UK and Africa, thereby forming and strengthening networks ahead of anticipated future collaborative funding opportunities.
The N8 Research Partnership is a collaboration of the eight most research-intensive Universities in the North of England namely: Durham, Lancaster, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield and York.
The African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) comprises over seventeen (17) prominent research universities (including UNILAG) across ten (10) African countries. ARUA Centres of Excellence (CoEs) serve as focal points for aggregating world-class researchers from member universities to undertake collaborative research in priority thematic areas.
