It has come to the attention of the Management of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) that students are receiving a message/email asking them to fill a form.

The message reads:

Kindly note that the University has not sent out any of such messages/emails. All students and stakeholders are advised to take precautions when interacting with emails and other online communications.

Things to note:

  1. The University of Lagos will only correspond with its students/staff/publics using its custom email address (i.e. username@unilag.edu.ng)
  2. The Office of the Registrar of the University of Lagos is not a “Federal Secretariat”. We advise our students, staff and stakeholders to familiarise themselves with the organs of the University.
  3. Watch out for subtle or sometimes pronounced grammatical errors. This is common with fraudulent messages.
  4. Make sure you have confirmed the authenticity of the email address and noted other nuances mentioned above before clicking any such links.

Please be assured that the safety of our students, staff, members of the University community and other stakeholders remain top priority.
