Activities to mark the Maiden Bursary Day Celebration of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) commenced on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 with Bursary staff led by the Bursar, Mrs. Oluwafunmilola Y. Adekunle, FCA, trooping out to participate in various games and sports at the UNILAG Sports Centre, Akoka.
The staff took part in games such as Ludo, Ayo Olopon, Table-Tennis and Draughts/Checkers as well as a friendly football match against the UNILAG Senior Staff Club Football Team. The match ended 4-1, in favour of the Senior Staff Club Football Team
The Celebration which has the theme: “The Bursary in a Future-Ready University”, is scheduled to continue on Thursday, October 26, 2023 with the following activities:
- Awareness Walk within UNILAG Campus from 8:00 am-10:00 am
- Public Lecture/Award Event from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm at the Professor Rahmon Adisa Bello Hall, UNILAG: The lecture will be delivered by former UNILAG Bursar, Dr Gilbert Deinde Ifarajimi, FCA under the Chairmanship of former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services), Professor Duro Oni.
