FCDO Director Assures UNILAG of Continued Support for Research and Innovation

Director General, Economics, Science and Technology at Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), UK, Kumar Iyer has reiterated his agency’s continued support for research and innovation at the University of Lagos.

Mr. Kumar gave this assurance during a courtesy call to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, on Thursday, October 5, 2023.

Mr. Kumar and his team comprising Alice Omisore of RISA-Chemonics, Melissa Keery and Oluwasegun Adetunde of FCDO, were in the University on a working visit to inspect the operations of Project Innovation to Market (I2M), a project conceptualized and managed by the Innovation and Technology Management Office (ITMO) headed by Dr. Gbenga-Ilori. Project I2M is a pioneering initiative funded by UKAID’s Research and Innovation Systems for Africa (RISA) till 2025.
