UNILAG Mgt. Commiserates with Family of Late Emeritus Professor Umaru Shehu

The University of Lagos Management wishes to commiserate with the family of the late Emeritus Professor Umaru Shehu, CON, CFR, over the demise of the academic icon and intellectual giant.

Late Emeritus Professor Umaru Shehu who served as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of UNILAG from 1996 to 1999, will forever be remembered for his indelible imprints in the promotion of medical education in Nigeria..

On behalf of the University of Lagos community, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, OON, FAS, prays for the repose of the soul of the late Professor of Medicine, and implores the family of the deceased to find solace in the noble legacies left behind by the late egghead.

Late Emeritus Professor Umaru Shehu, CON, CFR died on Monday, October 2, 2023, in Maiduguri, at the age of 93 years.
