The University is seeking for members of staff who are interested in working in the Data Management Office as Data Managers. The Data Management Office is a data analytics centre of the University which will operate to facilitate the concurrent use of multiple data sources, data collection methods, analytical, and presentation technologies to enhance all the activities and operations of the University.

TWO GROUPS OF PEOPLE ARE TO BE TRAINED
- Data Analysts: Data Analyst’s responsibilities include conducting full life cycle analysis of data (creation, testing, processing, consumption and rescue). Data analysts will develop analysis and reporting templates. They will also monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements as well as challenges.
- Data Miners: Data miner’s responsibilities include extracting useful information, patterns and trends from large volume of data to assist in developing recommendations for decision-makers and providing critical information for data sources expansion for the University data pipeline and future use cases.
Qualifications:
(i). Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc).
(ii). Bachelors in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Sociology, Information Management or Business Management
Added advantages:
(i). Background in statistics and data analysis
(ii). Experience in visualization and dashboard curation
(iii). Good background in SQL
