Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos, Professor Folasade, OON, on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, received a delegation from Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America.
Led by Nigerian-born Professor of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases at Emory University, Professor Igho Ofotokun, the team was in UNILAG to acknowledge and reciprocate a visit earlier paid to Emory University by Professor Ogunsola as well as to foster a more cordial relationship between both institutions.
Discussions between the UNILAG management team, led by Professor Ogunsola and the Emory University delegation centered on areas of prospecrive cooperation, research collaborations and other opportunities which could be explored for career development and enhanced community impact.

It was founded in 1836 as Emory College by the Methodist Episcopal Church and named in honour of Methodist Bishop John Emory.
