The Group Managing Director, Sahara Power Group/Executive Director, Sahara Group, Mr. Kola Adesina on Friday, June 2, 2023, fulfilled one of his promises to his alma mater, the University of Lagos with the donation of Students’ Convenience to the Faculty of Management Sciences.
Speaking at the commissioning of the project, Mr. Adesina described the project as a token of his commitment towards enhancing the comfort of students.
He said the project is more significant by virtue of its indispensability in the pursuit of cleanliness, decency, and order in any environment.
While calling for proper maintenance of the project, the Sahara Energy boss described its utilization in the coming months and years ahead as one which would attest to the mindset of every member of the Faculty of Management Sciences and by extension, the entire campus community.
In his remarks, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Management Services, Professor Lucian Obinna-Chukwu, appreciated the convenience project donor, Mr Kola Adesina, adjudging him a worthy friend and partner of the university.
Mr. Adesina’s disposition towards his alma mater, according to Prof. Chukwu, further accentuates the Vice-Chancellor’s charge to every category of staff to always ensure pleasurable students experiences.
He also applauded the Sahara Power Group boss for his obligation to the University of Lagos via a School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, a project which he said will further promote research and innovation among students and faculty members.
Highpoint of the brief ceremony was the commissioning of the project by Mr. Kola Adesina as well as an inspection of the project.
The event was graced by students, academics, and non-teaching staff of the faculty led by the Dean, Professor Emmanuel Oyatoye.
