The Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos, Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, FAS, has approved the appointment of Professor Mathew O. Ilori as Director, Academic Planning (D.A.P.) Unit, with effect from Friday, April 28, 2023 to Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Professor Matthew Olusoji Ilori is a thorough-bred alumnus of the University of Lagos, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Second Class Upper Division, June 1984), Master of Philosophy in Microbiology (November, 1990) and Doctor of Philosophy in Microbiology (November, 1998).
The Senate Member (2004 – 2006 and March, 2010 – Date) is a seasoned academic cum administrator who has served the University in several capacities including Deputy Chairman of the Academic Programmes Committee, School of Postgraduate Studies; and Dean, Faculty of Science: among others. He is the Chairman, Board of Institute of Maritime Studies (IMS), UNILAG.
