The Counseling Unit of the Students Affairs Division took its ongoing mental health campaign train to hostels within the University’s Idi Araba and Yaba campuses on Thursday, April 13th, 2023.
The campaign, which was done in collaboration with several partners including the University’s Anti AIDS Club, UNILAG Day Force Club, Mentally Aware Nigeria Initiative among others, provided an avenue for the sensitization of students on issues relating to mental health and general well being.
One of the Speakers at the event, Olufunlola Olaleye of United Healthcare International, stressed the need for students to set priority goals. She urged them to be sensitive to their health , avoid self medication, and seek timely medical attention from the appropriate quarters as health is wealth.
Olaleye further advised the students to register with the UNILAG Medical Centre so that they would be able to access available medical provisions as bonafide students.
