The Head of Chinese Unit, Department of Linguistics, African and Asian Studies, University of Lagos, Dr. Adetoro Olaniyi Banwo has been conferred an Award of Honour by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Nigeria.
The award is in recognition of Dr. Banwo’s outstanding performance as Chinese Language Teacher of the year 2022.
The award conferment was part of activities marking the 2022 Nigerian Chinese Teaching Seminar which was held on Saturday, December 17, 2022.
Organised for Chinese Language Teachers in the University of Lagos, Nnamdi Azikwe University and Chinese Cultural Centre Abuja, the seminar focused on various topics including: “How to Better Implement the Sharing of Chinese and Cultural Music Movements“, “Opportunities and Challenges for Chinese Education in Nigeria in the Post-Epidemic Era.” among others.
