Events Outlined to Celebrate Lighting and Theatre Icon, Professor Duro Oni at 70

A renowned Professor of Theatre Arts at the University of Lagos, Duro Oni, FNAL, will clock seventy (70) come Thursday, December 15, 2022. As part of activities lined up to commemorate his exemplary academic and professional sojourn, family, friends, mentees and associates have outlined various events as scheduled below:

Event 1:
The Nigerian Academy of Letters (NAL) holds an evening of presentations and tributes to celebrate Prof. Duro Oni at 70.

The Faculty of Arts will hold a Special Send-Forth and Presentation of Book of Tributes in honour of Professor Duro Oni as he retires from the University.

This will also feature a Book Presentation of “Duro Oni: Art, Design and Life – 70th Birthday Commemorative Studies and Tributes”.

Professor Duro Oni served as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Management Services at the University of Lagos, Nigeria (2013-2017) and is the incumbent President, Nigerian Academy of Letters. He has received numerous awards and accolades from various national and international bodies and continues to make notable impacts in society and the world at large.
