Vice-Chancellor, University of Lagos, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, FAS, has congratulated Mr. Enoch Tochukwu Nwali who emerged as African Champion at the African Scrabble Championship which held in Lusaka, Zambia.
While receiving the African Scrabble Champion in her office on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, Prof Ogunsola adjudged the 26-year-old’s feat another testimony of the triumphant spirit which UNILAG students are made of.
Giving thumbs-up to Enoch Tochukwu Nwali for making UNILAG proud in far away Zambia, Prof. Ogunsola also commended the African Scrabble Champion for effectively managing his time to accommodate such sterling performance in an intellectually engaging sport as scrabble.



She identified Enoch Tochukwu Nwali as another example of the well-rounded student which UNILAG is keen on grooming every student into.
Enoch Tochukwu Nwali is a 300-level student of the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education, Faculty of Education, University of Lagos. He had emerged as National Scrabble Champion in the Qualifiers which held at the Federal Capital Territory in September 2020.
Enoch Tochukwu Nwali was among 86 other players across 11 English-speaking countries who converged on Lusaka, the Zambian capital for the African Championship which held in October, 2022.
He outplayed all 85 other contenders to clinch the African Scrabble Champion Trophy.
