The University of Lagos Library, on Thursday, November 3, 2022 commenced its open exhibition tagged, “UNILAG in Retrospect”. The exhibition took visitors on a journey through the University’s sixty-year history.
Some of the dignitaries who were on hand at the opening of the exhibition included the Registrar, Oladejo Azeez, Esq.; the Bursar, Mrs. Oluwafunmilola Adekunle; University Librarian, Prof. Yetunde Zaid; Director, Quality Assurance and SERVICOM, Prof. Grace Otinwa and Director, Academic Planning Unit, Prof. Mopelola Olusakin.


Much to the delight of all present, the Registrar, Oladejo Azeez, Esq., excitedly relived his memories at the sight of some of the pictures displayed at the library exhibition.



Similarly, several students were ecstatic to see images of Jaja Hall under construction in 1974 and the old New Hall.


The year-long exhibition will be held on the first and last Thursdays of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the J. F. Ade. Ajayi Auditorium Board Room.
It will be recalled that the University of Lagos commenced events to celebrate its 60th anniversary on Monday, October 3, 2022, with an event dubbed “Touchdown at the Root” at the College of Medicine, Idi-Araba, where academic activities within the institution began in 1962.
