Dr. Margaret Ilomuanya of the Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology, Faculty of Pharmacy has won the 2022 MED-AFRICA research grant for her project proposal titled: “Fiber development/characterization using micro-architecture in micro-adhesive electrospun scaffolds from multi-photon and scanning electron microscopy: Application in Multipurpose prevention and contraceptive technologies.”
Dr. Ilomuanya is internationally recognized for her research as a Pharmacist/ Drug developer/ Lecturer with an excellent record of working in the higher education industry. Her research spans novel drug delivery techniques and the development of topical dosage forms utilized as creams and gels for the delivery of drugs in HIV microbicide development.
