Members of Team UNILAG put in sterling performances at the just-concluded 9th All Nigerian Universities Debate Championship (ANUDC).
The championship, which is an annual event, drew participants from universities across Nigeria for debate/public speaking contests in the British Parliamentary style.
There were the Quiz Competition, Public Speaking and Debate categories, in all of which UNILAG representatives participated. The duo of Modupe Odubajo and Opeyemi Abdulrasaq took the Third position in the Quiz Category; Feyi Ajayi-Abu won the 5th Best Speaker in the Public Speaking Categtory; and Ajibade Adeyemi won the Best Adjudicator in the Public Speaking category.
The championship was hosted by the University of Ilorin from 13th -19th February, 2022, and had 262 students competing in teams across the three categories.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, FAS, congratulates the Team Coach, Dr. Yewande Ntekim-Rex, and the entire team on their impressive outing at the championship. He challenges them to redouble their efforts for a more compelling performance at the next edition.
