UNILAG Faculty of Law Holds 1st Stakeholders' Conference

The Faculty of Law, University of Lagos (UNILAG) is scheduled to hold its first (1st) Stakeholders’ Conference with the theme, “Developing Compliance-Ready Data Protection Environment in Nigeria” as follows:

Time: 9:00 a.m.
Venue: Arthur Mbanefo Digital Research Centre (AMDRC), UNILAG

The Conference, which is being held in tandem with a Research Project supported by Facebook, for which Professor Ayodele V. Atsenuwa, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development Services), UNILAG, is the Project Research Lead, aims to bring together industry experts and stakeholders to discuss the compliance and implementation challenges of data protection, and chart a part for Nigeria and Africa in the global discourse on data protection. It will feature:

  • A privacy fair,
  • Two plenary sessions, and
  • Dissemination of findings of National Research on Data Protection

The Privacy Fair will provide a platform for different organizations to showcase their privacy policies and practices, and organizational norms on data protection.
