The Chairman, Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Mr. Muhammad Nami led the FIRS team on a courtesy call on the Vice Chancellor, University of Lagos, Prof. Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe, FAS on 22nd October 2021 in his office, at the Senate House.
The visit was aimed at strengthening the long-standing institutional relationship between FIRS and UNILAG.
The Chief Executives discussed areas of mutual interest and concern, exchanging views in particular on the need to support the university in its areas of need.
The FIRS Boss is in the university as a Special Guest of Honour at the National Tax Debate 6.0 organised by the University of Lagos Tax club.
He revealed that the Tax Club of the University of Lagos is the premier and biggest tertiary Tax Club in Nigeria and FIRS have been in collaboration with the competition which features tertiary schools from across Nigeria to compete in a debate on contemporary tax issues in the country and globally.
