University of Lagos Celebrates International Customer Service Week

The University of Lagos via the Quality Assurance and SERVICOM Unit joined the whole world in celebrating Customer Service Week 2021, with the theme, “The Power of Service”, on Thursday, October 7, 2021.

The International Customer Service Week is usually celebrated during the first week in October of every year. It is a week-long opportunity to create awareness about customer service and the vital role it plays in successful business practice and the growth of the economy, hence, the University of Lagos was not left out of the celebration.

In a webinar which featured brief addresses by the Director of the Quality Assurance and SERVICOM Unit, Prof. Grace Otinwa; the Chairman of the occasion, Distinguished Prof. Cecelia Igwilo and the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, who was represented by the Director, Academic Planning Unit, Prof. Mopelola Olusakin, outstanding members of staff and students in the 2019/2020 academic session were honoured with certificates of honour, awards and prizes.

A call for nominations had earlier been announced to Deans of Faculty and Heads of Department in the University. After a rigorous selection process, the following were selected:
