The evening of Thursday, September 30, 2021 was an opportunity for members of the National Youth Service Corps posted to the University of Lagos to let their hair down and interact with members of Management.
At the foyer of the J.F. Ade-Ajayi Auditorium, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, FAS, and other members of Management hosted the corps members to a dinner. He took the chance to encourage the corps members to brace up to life.
“Life is about making sacrifices. It is about ambition, faith, achievement, relationships, and serving God. It is about skill development and the readiness to market your skill and to place it at the service of others”, the Vice-Chancellor said.

He charged the corps members to be good ambassadors of their respective alma maters and to always do their best to contribute to the development of Nigeria.
The dinner was a follow-up on the courtesy visit that the corps members had made on the Vice-Chancellor earlier in the year.
Other members of Management that were present at the event are: Deputy Vice-Chancellors (Academics & Research), Professor Oluwole Familoni; (Development Services), Professor Ayodele Atsenuwa; (Management Services), Professor Lucian Chukwu; Registrar, Oladejo Azeez, Esq.; Bursar, Dr. Olalekan Lawal; and the University Librarian, Dr. (Mrs) Yetunde Zaid.
