Interested members of staff of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) are advised to use the opportunity provided by TETFund Conference Attendance Intervention for their academic development by sending the following details: full name, official email, phone number and grade level, to acadplanning@unilag.edu.ng. This is required to enable access to the application form via beneficiary.tetfund.gov.ng.
Further information and guidelines are as follows:
ACADEMIC STAFF
It must be an authentic academic conference organized by academic institutions, learned society, and/or recognized and reputable professional bodies. Attendees must show evidence of approval for oral presentations and not posters at the conference. Predatory conferences and those organized by third parties MUST NOT be recommended to the Fund.
The registration fee for the conference MUST NOT EXCEED N100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) for conferences in Nigeria, and $500 (Five hundred US dollars) for conferences abroad. The conference flyer should indicate clearly the registration fee while other documents showing the registration fee may also be provided in addition.
Not more than two (2) members of staff of a given institution can be sponsored to attend the same conference.
For Group Conference: Only a maximum of 7 (Seven) Teaching Staff of a department could attend a group conference (and not workshop) within a given intervention year.
The duration of the conference must not exceed five (5) days. Please ensure that the conference date strictly falls within September, October, November and December, 2026. To allow processing period by TETFund, kindly submit online before Monday, June 15, 2026. Submission after this date will NOT be processed by TETFund.
The deadline for the preliminary indication of interest to attend TETFund sponsored conference which should be sent to Academic Planning (submit full name, gender, official email, phone number, email address, designation and grade level to acadplanning@unilag.edu.ng) is Friday, June 5, 2026.
Applicants must note that prevalence of fraudulent conferences, scam conferences and predatory conferences organized by revenue-seeking companies and individuals to exploit researchers, especially from the third world are not allowed.
