The challenges posed by negative work environment globally are widely acknowledged. This, apart from causing physical health problems may also lead to mental issues, such as substance abuse, depressive illness, anxiety disorders, loss of productivity and even loss of life amongst others.

In response to this global challenge, the Medical Centre is organizing a walk/rally to sensitize our community with the aim of encouraging practices that promote mental health and support people with mental disorders. This we hope will reduce the prevalence of depressive illness, anxiety disorders and absenteeism and increase well- being and productivity.

The day of the rally, Monday, 4h December, 2017, which is to mark World AIDS Day (December 1) will herald the Medical Centre’s 3-day Health Week programme.
