The Medical Centre, in response to the global challenges posed by avoidable death, is organizing a walk/rally to sensitize the University community with the aim of encouraging the practice of preventive measures such as regular blood pressure checks, alcohol and cigarette cessation, healthy eating habits, avoiding substance abuse and seeking counsel when stressed or depressed. These should reduce cases of avoidable deaths in the community and increase the wellbeing and productivity of staff and students.
This rally, scheduled for Monday, December 3, 2018 which will also mark World AIDS Day (December 1), will herald the Medical Centre’s 3-day Health Week programme
