The Centre for Social Research and Advocacy (CSRA) invites all students of the University of Lagos to ‘Youth Votes Count’ Voter Education Campaign. This Voter Education Outreach, which is for the South-West zone, will be hosted by the University in conjunction with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the J. F. Ade-Ajayi Auditorium.

Time:              8:00a.m. – 12:00p.m.

Panellists:     Omotola Jalade-Ekehinde, Ayo “AY” Makun, Helen Paul among others.

This youth-specific Outreach is aimed at mobilising young people, especially first-time voters to exercise their franchise by registering to vote in the 2019 General Elections. It will also

  • Focus on the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), Collection of Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) and other issues likely to undermine the participation of youths/students in elections and
  • Provide the opportunity for students to engage with INEC Leadership and policy makers on matters related to elections and citizens’ participation in the electoral process.

Students will be accorded to opportunity to register and collect their permanent voter’s card on June 27 and June 28, 2018 between 8:00a.m. and 3:00p.m.

All students are to seize this unique opportunity to register and collect their PVCs.
