The Vice–Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe, FAS, has requested all Faculty members to respond to the historical and unique proposal drive – “Operation develop 200 Proposals” to leapfrog the University of Lagos granting portfolio and research base. Researchers are, therefore, enjoined to prepare and submit their proposals to the Research and Innovation Office:

The proposals should have an impact on the society or organizations; innovative, multi-disciplinary and relevant to contemporary issues nationally and internationally. A review mechanism will be put in place to provide feedback on all proposals submitted for the ideas to be competitive. The Research and Innovation Office has guaranteed up to fifty (50) funding sources where these proposals will be ultimately submitted.
