  1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

                The following Candidates are eligible to apply:

2.1          Graduates of University of Lagos or any other University recognised by Senate with degrees in     relevant disciplines.

2.2          Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) or National Diploma (ND) or National Certificate in       Education (NCE) in the relevant disciplines.

2.3          Holders of recognized relevant full professional qualifications particularly ACA, ANAN, ACCA,        ACMA, ACIA, ACIS, ACIB and CII may be considered for admission at enhanced level     provided they have five credits at WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (‘O’ Level) or its equivalent ,      which must include English Language, Mathematics plus any other three (3) relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.

2.4          Holders of WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (‘O’ Level) or its equivalent with credit in five (5) subjects       including English Language, Mathematics plus any other three (3) relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.

NOTE:   (a) Point of entry for Candidates in categories 2.1 to 2.3 will depend on details of their     Transcripts and such Candidates must also satisfy the WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (‘O’ Level) or   its equivalent as stated in 2.4 above.

(b) All academic transcripts for the Candidates in categories 2.1 and 2.2 must reach the   Deputy Registrar/Institute Secretary, Distance Learning Institute on or before the start of the       session in which admission is being sought.

(b) ICAN Accounting Technician Scheme (ATS III) subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(c) National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower credit in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Actuarial Science, Insurance and Marketing subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(d) GCE ‘A’ Level with credit grades in Economics and two (2) relevant subjects such as Accounting, Business Management, Geography and Government subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

    2 (a) Graduates of University of Lagos or any other University recognized by the Senate with a minimum of Pass in relevant disciplines such as Economics, Finance, Employment Relations and Human Resource Management, Marketing, Mathematics and Statistics, Insurance, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, Sciences and Engineering excluding holders of degrees in Economics subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

(b) Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower credit in Economics, Finance, Employment Relations and Human Resource Management, Marketing, Mathematics and Statistics, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, Insurance, Sciences and Engineering  subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(c) Full Professional qualifications in Associate of Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB) subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements..

4 B.Sc.  Public Administration 1 WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (O’ Level) or its equivalent with credits in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Government plus any other two (2)subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.
    2 (a) Graduates of University of Lagos or any other University recognized by the Senate with a minimum of Pass in relevant disciplines such as Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, Social work,  Economics and any Course in the Arts, Sciences, Engineering excluding holders of degrees in Public Administration subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(b) National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit in relevant disciplines such as Public Administration, Business Administration, Local Government Administration, Political Science, Economics, Psychology, Social Work  subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(c) G. C. E. ‘A’ Level with credit grades in Government/History and other two (2) relevant subjects such as Economics, Christian Religious Studies CRS/IRK  subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(d) JUPEB certificate with appropriate credit points in Government/ History and other two (2) relevant subjects such as Economics, Christian Religious Studies CRS/IRK  subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements..

 

(e) Full Professional qualifications in Associate of Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (ACIS) subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

  3 (a) Graduates of University of Lagos or any other University recognized by the Senate with good honours degrees in relevant disciplines such as Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, Social work, Economics and any Course in the Arts, Sciences, Engineering excluding holders of degrees in Public Administration subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(b) The Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower credit in Public Administration, Business Administration, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, Political Science  subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(c) Full Professional qualifications, Associate of Institute of Public Administration of Nigeria (AIPA) subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

5 B.Sc. Education Biology 1 WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (O’ Level) or its equivalent with credits in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics,  Biology, Chemistry and either of Physics or Agricultural Science at not more than two (2) sittings.
    2 (a) The National Certificate of Education (NCE) with at least merit grades in two (2) relevant teaching subjects such as Biology, Agricultural Science etc.  subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(b) The National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit. in relevant field such as Biology, Agricultural Science etc.  subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(c) GCE ‘A’ Level with at least Credit grades in two (2) relevant subjects such as Biology, Agricultural Science etc.  subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(d) The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with at least Credit grades in two (2) relevant subjects such as Biology, Agricultural Science etc. subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

6 B.Sc. Education Chemistry 1 WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (O’ Level) or its equivalent with credits in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics,   Chemistry and any two of Physics, Biology or Agricultural Science. at not more than two (2) sittings.
 

 

  2 (a) The National Certificate of Education (NCE) with at least Merit grades in two (2) relevant teaching subjects such as Chemistry, Biology etc. subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(b) The National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit  in relevant field such as Chemistry, Biology etc.  subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(c) GCE ‘A’ Level with at least Credit grades in two (2) relevant subjects Chemistry, Biology etc.  subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(c) The Joint University Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) certificate with at least Credit grades in two (2) relevant subjects such as Chemistry, Biology etc. subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

3 (a) Graduates of University of Lagos or any other University recognized by the Senate with a minimum of Pass in relevant discipline.

 

(b) Higher National Diploma (HND) with a minimum of Lower credit in relevant subject area.

7 B.Sc. Education Mathematics 1 WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (O’ Level) or its equivalent with credits five (5) subjects including English Language,  Mathematics and Physics and one other Science subjects of Chemistry, Biology, Agricultural Science (including at least a pass in Further Mathematics) at not more than two (2) sittings
2 (a) The National Certificate of Education (NCE) with at least Merit grades in two (2) relevant teaching subjects such as Mathematics, Physics etc. subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(b) The National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit. in relevant field such as Mathematics, Physics etc.  subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(c) GCE A’ Level with at least Credit grades in two (2) relevant subjects such as Mathematics, Physics etc. subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

8 B.Sc. Education Physics 1 WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO (O’ Level) or its equivalent with credits in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics,    Physics, Chemistry and either of Biology or Agricultural Science at not more than two (2) sittings.
2 (a) The National Certificate of Education (NCE) with at least Merit grades in two (2) relevant teaching subjects such as Physics, Mathematics etc. subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

 

(b) The National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit  in relevant field such as Physics, Mathematics etc. subject to satisfaction of ‘O’ Level requirements.

  1. GENERAL INFORMATION
  1. Applicants for Distance Learning Institute programme shall not be less than 16 years of age by 31st October, 2017 i.e. Only Applicants who were born on or before October 31, 2001 are eligible to apply.
  2. Offer of admission into programmes listed above is subject to available number of qualified                applicants.
  3. On-line Print out Results Slips are NOT ACCEPTABLE at the point of Registration.
  4. Candidates awaiting results are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.
  5. Certificates and not Statement of Result Slips are acceptable for WASCE/SSCE/GCE/NECO results obtained before 2015.
  6.  All completed Application Forms are to be submitted on or before 31st August, 2018.

Step 2:  Click “Start a Fresh Application”

Step 3:  Select Distance Learning Institute as application type, then supply your Surname, First Name, Middle Name, Mobile Number and Email Address.

Step 4:  Click the pay now to pay online, the Application Fee of N17,500.00 (Seventeen Thousand, Five Hundred Naira) only, OR print the payment advice with Remita Number to make payment at any Commercial Bank.

Step 5: Return to the application portal (http://applications.unilag.edu.ng) after payment, click continue application, input your payment reference number and your surname in lowercase as password.

Step   6: Complete all required details and upload necessary documents as listed below.
