In a bid to ameliorate accommodation challenges of members of staff of the University of Lagos, the Housing Unit has converted a duplex into two two-bedroom flats. The building located at Alvan Ikoku road, Akoka campus used to be a duplex occupied by one member of staff, but with this renovation, two members of staff will now occupy the building.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, handed over the keys of the apartments to the new occupants on Monday, November 6, 2023.
The occupants, Dr. Adeonipekun of the Department of Botany and Mr. Obiah, a teacher at the International School, University of Lagos (ISL) expressed appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor and the Housing Unit for gladdening their hearts and relieving them of accommodation problems.
The Vice-Chancellor, in response expressed delight at the Housing Unit, the Works & Physical Planning Unit and the contractor for successfully completing the project. She wished the occupants a pleasant stay in the homes.
