The Investment Society, a multi-disciplinary and academically diverse community of students in the University of Lagos (UNILAG) will hold its annual programme tagged “The Colloquium” virtually for the first time, as follows:

The 2020 edition of The Colloquium, which is an annual undergraduate-focused economic and finance conference, will focus on the theme “Shaping the Future: Trade, Investment and Technology.” Delegates from over 20 universities in Africa, as well as, renowned professionals from various industries will attend the conference this year.
The inaugural edition of The Colloquium was held in 2018 with the theme, “Nigeria’s Economy in Perspective – Past Issues, Present Challenges, and Future Prospects”. Last year, the Society ventured beyond Nigeria to discuss “Driving Investment in Africa through Innovation and Leadership”. Following the dynamic events of this year 2020, the Society will be driving a conversation around the vital role of young people in developing Africa’s future with the theme, “Shaping the Future: Trade, Investment and Technology.”
It is worthy of note to mention that The Investment Society (TIS), UNILAG has strategically aligned itself with the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) Society, Nigeria, and some TIS members have won competitions on behalf of the University in the past.
