The Medical Centre of the University of Lagos wishes to inform the University community that R-Jolad, previously accredited by the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), has withdrawn from providing healthcare services under the formal sector health insurance programme.
Thus, with effect from July 2024, the hospital will no longer provide health care services to enrolees under the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
Consequently, the NHIA has transferred all R-Jolad enrolees to General Hospital, Gbagada to ensure unhindered access to healthcare services.
All staff of the university who were formerly enrolled at R-Jolad are therefore, advised to visit the nearest NHIA office close to them to change to a preferred healthcare facility if they are not satisfied with the services provided by the alternative healthcare provider.
