Ayodeji Popoola, a graduating student of the Department of Geophysics, with his Eko Laundry Business idea, clinched the 2nd place at the graduation ceremony held in October 2018. Eko Laundry is a unique Laundromat which offers affordable, round the clock services while maximising the use of technology. It also affords customers the opportunity to render self-service at the store, in that they can bring in their fabrics, load them themselves, and relax or conduct other business while they wait.
The 13-week Entrepreneurship and Employability programme was initiated by the Lagos state government in 2016 under the Akinwunmi Ambode-led administration, to prepare students in tertiary Institutions in Lagos for the labour market.
